Trenton police were dispatched to 55 Sweets Avenue at approximately 10:47 p.m. on a Shot Spotter activation. Officers located the victim in his car, parked in front of 51 Sweets Avenue, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. The victim was identified as Leon McClendon of Trenton, and he was alert and talkative. He was transported to the hospital for treatment, however, he died the next day.
At approximately 2:13 a.m., Trenton officers were on patrol and heard several gunshots. As the patrol officers were attempting to locate the scene, the Shot Spotter gunshot detection system activated for gunshots in the area of the La Famosa Mini Market, 60 Girard Avenue. Officers located the victim, identified as Ronnie Livingston of Trenton, on the sidewalk in front of 325 Saint Joes Avenue, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Trenton police were detailed to the 400 block of Ardmore Avenue on a report of a shooting in progress at approximately 8:24 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located a green Hyundai Tucson that had crashed into the side of 1004 Hamilton Avenue. The victim, later identified as Darryl Ford of Trenton, was found in the driver’s seat suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The investigation revealed that Ford and two other individuals were sitting in the parked vehicle on Ardmore Avenue facing Hamilton Avenue when an unknown black male approached the front passenger side window. Shots were fired and Ford attempted to drive away, but he became unresponsive and the vehicle veered off of the roadway and into the side of the building. No other injuries were reported.
At approximately 6:40 p.m., Trenton police responded to a shooting in progress in the area of Pearl and Benton streets. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, later identified as Anthony Jones of Trenton, laying in the middle of Pearl Street in the vicinity of 240 Pearl Street. Jones was shot multiple times. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Trenton police officers were dispatched at approximately 8:43 a.m. to the area of 24 Passaic Street on a report of a sick or injured person. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, later identified as Amir Hassan Glover of Trenton, lying on the ground under some bushes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Glover was pronounced dead at the scene.
At approximately 6:51 a.m., Trenton police received a call regarding a dead body on the canal path behind Sanhican Liquors, 1372 Edgewood Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, later identified as Aaron Lewis, with a gunshot wound to the head. Lewis was last seen alive in the area of Hamilton Avenue and Hudson Street.
Trenton police were detailed to the area of Beakes and New Willow streets on a report of shots fired at approximately 2:20 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, later identified as Marcus Hunter of Trenton, laying on the sidewalk in front of a vacant lot on Beakes Street. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the right side of his forehead.
Malique Potter, of Morrisville, Pa., was at a friend’s Trenton home in the first block of Oak Street, sitting on the front porch, when he was approached by two individuals at approximately 9:53 p.m. One of the individuals shot Potter multiple times as he attempted to run into the house. The suspects fled the area and Potter died at the hospital.
